3 Vital Steps To Regain Your Focus So You Can Make Money Online

By Christopher Hall

Making money online is simple, but it is not easy. There are certain steps you must follow to make money with your online business, but it is so easy to get distracted and lose focus. Has this happened to you? Have you lost your focus? Here are three vital steps you need to take to regain your focus so you can make your online business a success.

1. Follow your plan - no, you may not have a formal business plan written down (although it would not hurt to have one.) But you should have some idea of how you plan to make money with your online business. Try this – think back when you first began your online business. You had a mental picture of how it was going to be. Now look at your online business now. Is it close to what you started with? Have you changed time and time again without giving your ideas a chance to work? If so, you need to revisit your plan, make adjustments if necessary, and then stick with it.

2. Remember your customers – remember who? Of course we all know what customers are, but as business owners, it is so easy to forget that they are the reason we are successful. Are you so worried about your business that you have forgotten who makes your business go? If you aren’t giving your customers what they want or need, then your business will die. How do you know what your customers want or need? Simple. Ask them.

3. If it doesn’t make money, don’t do it - this is the main obstacle I struggled with when I first started my online business. I spent my time on things that did not make me money. I focused on my website, checking emails, and searching for the next big marketing method. You know what? My business failed. It was not until I focused on money-making activities (like consistent marketing and list building) that I finally made money online.

Payment Scheme for Affiliates

By Princejay Events

If you already created a blog and you think that the site is now ready to accept advertisers. Then enrolling to affiliate programs is not a hard task for you.

At this stage, prior to joining any site or affiliate programs, you should first understand the different payment schemes for you as a publisher. Are you ready?
There are three famous payment schemes that usually being offered to publishers:

1. Pay Per Impression

2. Pay Per Click or Paid Per Click

3. Pay Per Sale or Lead or Pay Per Referral

PAY PER IMPRESSION

In CPM, you will be paid according to the number of times the Word Ad or Banner Ads is viewed or displayed on your blog or site. The amount you will earn is normally calculated based on the number of thousand impressions of the banner (impressions = number of times the banner is displayed) often abbreviated as CPM (cost per thousand, with the M being the Latin numeral for thousand). That is, $10 CPM means that you get paid $10 for 1,000 displays or views of the banner. This method will allow you to automatically earn BIG if your site attracts a lot of visitors or if you have a high traffic blog or website.

PAY PER CLICK or PAID PER CLICK

With this you will be paid when visitors click the advertiser's link, banner or graphics on your blog or website. The payment per click varies depending on the advertisers being displayed on your blog or website. The earning here is usually higher than the pay per impression scheme. You will get better results if your advertisers are carefully selected or chosen to suit the target audience of your blog or site. Make sure you are consistent on your blogs.

PAY PER SALE, REFERRAL OR LEAD

There are affiliate programs that you will be paid per sale, sign-up, referral or lead. On this scheme you will get the highest payment rates. But, with this, you will only earn or be paid if your visitors click the ADS and either purchase an item from the advertiser or take some other prescribed action like to sign up for a service or join the program, etc... Just like the Pay Per Click scheme, you will get much better results if you carefully select your advertisers to suit the target audience of your site.

Most affiliate programs wants to avoid wasting resources in issuing checks for very small amounts you earned from your blogs or website, advertisers will usually accumulate the payment owing you until it reaches a certain amount (such as $10, $25, $50, $100 or more) before they pay you. It's either through check, bank or money-transfer.

When you already have decided on the affiliate programs. Then your next big step is to promote or market your blog or website to get more traffic.

6 Reasons Why Affiliate Marketing is Of the Best Businesses to Start, Regardless of How Much Experience You Have

1. You do not need to create your own product. As an affiliate, you will be making money online through commissions which you earn from marketing other people’s products.

2. You do not have to handle or ship products. As an affiliate, all you have to do is to direct potential customers to the merchant’s website using your affiliate link. You do not need to worry about payment processing or product delivery.

3. You do not need to create a website or write a sales copy, which can be quite costly. If you already have your own website, all you need to do is to add your affiliate links on your website.
You can also still earn money online as an affiliate without a website by simply promoting your affiliate link. If you are writing and submitting articles as a way of advertising, all you need to do is to add your affiliate links at the end of each article. People who read your articles will then click on your affiliate link which can make you a sale. (This is a method a lot of affiliate marketers use, though sending the prospect directly to the vendors sales page is not the best method. More on that below)

4. There is no need for domain and hosting costs. When starting an online business, most people have limited cash. In affiliate marketing, there is no need to pay for hosting and having your own domain since you do not necessarily need to have your own website.

5. There are no requests for refunds to deal with. As an affiliate, you do not have to worry about handling any requests for refunds. You earn commission on every product you sell, and it is the product owner’s responsibility to handle any requests for refunds.

6. You can pick and choose the products you want to sell. There are many products you can choose from to promote. You can therefore choose those “hot” products that are popular and in demand, and that also match your interests or website theme.

I recommend that you have your own web site, however, for a few key reasons: With your own website you the opportunity to presell the customer on the product before they get to the sales page (warmed up prospects convert better than cold ones). This is especially important of the sales copy for the product is not that great. If you do not funnel the traffic you generate through your own site first, you have no opportunity to collect their names and e-mail addresses to build your own customer list. If you do not funnel the traffic you generate through your own site you have no opportunity to track the leads to determine which advertising is effective and which is not

Affiliate marketing sounds easier than it is, but it is not impossible if you are willing to put in the effort and follow the necessary steps. ClickBank (www.clickbank.com) is a great place to find affiliate product to promote, or to find affiliates to promote your product for you.

If you are looking for a push button cash machine, you are going to be sadly disappointed. I know other marketers will tell you how great it is to simply send out an e-mail to their list and rake in tons of cash, but they are not being entirely honest with you. What they are not telling you about is the amount of work they had to put into building that list and building their business to the point that it Is that easy for them to make money.

Make Money From Affiliate Programs

Setting up an Affiliate Marketing Blog

The Affiliate Marketing Jumpstart Guide

The Affiliate Marketing Jumpstart Guide
By James E Brown

Making money with affiliate marketing is easy once you understand how. In fact, bum marketing is named after the creator’s opinion that even a bum on the street could hop on a computer in the public library and start making money. This jumpstart guide will give you all the tools you need to get started making money with affiliate marketing.

The first step is to choose a product. I recommend targeting high-gravity products, because they generally have very refined and high-converting sales letters. The system itself bypasses competition.

Then use either Overture’s keyword tool or Keyword Discovery’s database to do your keyword research. Find keywords with over 500 searches a month and under 10,000 competing websites on Google for its quoted keyword. (For example, “German shepherd dog training” in quotes is a quoted keyword.) Now write your article. Find 3 articles on a similar subject in Ezine Articles, and use what you learn to write your new article. Feel free to synthesize ideas from various articles, as long as you don’t copy anything word-for-word. Use your keyword once in the subject, once in the opening line, and 2-6 times per 100 words throughout your body text.

Write a compelling author box to get your visitors to click onto your website. Use free gifts, benefits for your reader, and compelling sales language to get them to click through. Experiment with sending them straight to the product. Experiment with using a cloaked affiliate link. Try a two-post blog, where one post is content and one is a “review” (sales pitch) for the product you’re selling. Try a real review page.

Repeat this process for 10-20 articles per product before you move on. You should be speed-writing these articles at 3-5 articles an hour. Therefore, you shouldn’t be spending more than one full-time day on any one topic.

Free Affiliate Programs Can Make you Rich

Free Affiliate Programs Can Make you Rich
By Joshua Spaulding

The way it works is that a company has products that they need to sell. These companies offer others a certain percentage of each sale that they refer. The person creating the referral does not pay anything to join and does not have to deal with packaging and shipping the item. When it comes down to it both the retailer and the affiliate benefit from these free programs.

So now that you know what a free affiliate program is, you need to know how to implement it in order to start making money. The first thing you need to do is to find the best affiliate program you can find that is selling what you want to promote. This can be done by going to almost any website on your topic and looking for a link that says affiliates or partners. While not every company has an affiliate program, most do. If you do not find one on your first couple tries do not worry, just keep looking until you find one.

There are a few websites that house hundreds of free affiliate programs in which you can apply for and manage through their site. These sites are especially useful if you want to promote several different programs. These affiliate hubs are not required and you can be very successful without them.

How do free affiliate programs work? You just find the program in which you want to promote, sign up and once you are approved you will receive a special link. This link is a very unique URL that tracks when someone purchases a product through it. Once a sale is made the company sends money your way.

The amount of money you will receive per sale depends on the free affiliate program that you signed up for. Most companies offer on average about five to ten percent commission on every sale. Some companies will give you so much money for every referral you send to them whether they buy a product or not. Just take a look into each company’s guidelines before signing up and find the one that best suites your needs.

If you own a website you can just post the link or banner on your website and let your viewers find it. If you do not own a website you can promote your link by telling friends and family or by pay per click advertising. Google adwords is a very popular pay per click program in which you pay them a set price for every click someone makes on your ad. If no one clicks you do not pay. If you can write a good ad you will find that you can make a lot of profit doing this. If you write a bad ad that no one is interested in then you may waste money.

There are many other ways to promote free affiliate programs. You may be able to think of better ways that I have stated above. It does not matter how you do it as long as you get people to buy from your link.

To Join or Not to Join an Affiliate Program

To Join or Not to Join an Affiliate Program
By Steven Gerber

Selling is one of the best ways to earn money. Actual selling can be difficult especially if you need to go to different places, carrying your products, and offering it face to face with your customer. Some are even a bit ashamed to do the actual physical selling themselves, because they don’t want to be turned down.

Selling nowadays is not only done through physical product selling, but also through affiliate programs. Have you heard of that term before? If you're new on the net, it simply means selling a product or service through commission basis. But this involves online selling, unlike the physical selling that most people dread.

If you have your very own website, it is much easier to start an affiliate program. It is an opportunity that you must not ignore because it can give you a considerable sum of money if you just know what it's all about and how it is carried out.

Here are important things that you should know before you join an affiliate program:

1. The different types of affiliate programs; including the pay per sale, pay per click, pay per lead, bounty, and two tier.

Once a customer buys a particular item, you will be paid a commission by 'pay per sale'.

The 'pay per click' type pays you every time a customer visits the site, and it doesn’t matter if the customer made a purchase or not, however, you'll earn more if the customers purchase something. With a PPC type, companies pay at the range of .05 dollars to .15 dollars.

You are paid a one-time fee only for each customer that visits the site; the payment is usually between two dollars to five dollars. If a customer signs up for application, the higher yield you'll get.

If you are able to refer a customer, you will get a finder's fee. If in the future the customer makes any purchases, you will no longer receive any commission, and this is called a bounty.

If you are able to make direct sales, you get a commission; and if your sub-affiliates generate sales, you will also get a commission out of their sales, this is called two tiered.

2. The benefits

The benefits of an affiliate program includes: all you have to do is to bring prospects to visit your site and you will not deal with people such as wholesalers, brokers, customer service, employees, technical support, process orders, warranties, and many more. You don’t need to stay on your computer to keep track of the site, you're free to go for a vacation, rest, etc.; and most especially, you can do it anywhere as long as there is an internet connection.

After weighing all these things, it's time to decide if you'll join an affiliate program or not. Once you decide to join, the company will give you a URL or a link. This links are used to gain access to the company's website.

This will allow the company to monitor your website, and the payment or commission that should be given to you.

Affiliate programs make money, so why not join the force. The internet is just there, waiting for interested people who are willing to venture into different business opportunities. If you're capable, and can become an effective affiliate, act now and join.

Affiliate Marketing - A Business Without Hassle?

Affiliate Marketing - A Business Without Hassle?
By Ove Nordkvist

Do you look for a small business idea, which allow you to make money without the hassle of selling products, packing and shipping? Take a look at affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing can be a very good opportunity for you. Instead of sales pages you load your web site with information. In that change, you make your site more attractive for the search engines, your site will draw more traffic.

here are some basics of how to get going as an affiliate marketer

It all start with your web site. People search the Net for information. There are different ways to provide information. It can be Articles, product reviews, videos or chat rooms. You have to choose a theme for your site, and stick to that theme.

Your main task as an affiliate marketer is to get visitors to your web site. You don't have to worry about the sales pitch. Concentrate at get high traffic to your site.

Once people start to find your web site, and your interesting content. It's time to choose a good affiliate program.

How to choose the right affiliate program?

First, of course it has to be in the same theme as your web site content. If your site is about computers, your visitors are more likely to click at a link regarding computers, than a link regarding how to breed birds.

Second, you have to be sure that your merchant deliver as promised. Whether it's a product or a service, you must promote high quality stuff. If you wouldn't by from your merchant, so wont your visitors.

Third, choose one program, learn how it works, concentrate on this until you're satisfied with the outcome. Only then you choose the next one. You must master one program at the time, if you try to master 100 programs at one time, you'll not master any of them.

They way to succeed a an affiliate marketer is to implement one program at the time. Keep it to a handful of affiliate marketing programs. Affiliate marketing is an ongoing learning process. To be able to keep up with this process, you must restrict yourself to a few top notch programs.

weave in your affiliate links in your content. One or two links per page is enough. If you have to many links your visitors will feel that you only want to sell something to them.

This is a cornerstone for your success, your job is to provide useful information. You don't sell anything. After you have provided information, you make a recommendation, your visitor click at the link and your MERCHANT do the actual selling.

How Affiliate Marketing Works And Why You May Want To Consider It

How Affiliate Marketing Works And Why You May Want To Consider It
By Gregg Hall

A relatively new method of generating income in the age of the Internet is called affiliate marketing. It is an option for making money that a great many site owners have adopted, with a great deal of success.

The way these programs work is actually quite simple. They seek to reward webmasters for allowing an outside company to promote their products and other materials on their sites. Consider for a moment the example of Webmaster A, who owns a site that promotes a series of ebooks. Webmaster A gets a certain amount of traffic to his or her site, which generates a certain level of sales. Now consider how the level of sales activity would increase if Webmaster A had 100, 1,000, or even 10,000 sites offering that same ebook for sale. More sites equal more sales! It's a very simple but effective concept.

The site owners who agree to allow another company to use their Web site to promote their products receive a commission from the sale of these items. It costs the host company nothing up front to have their products offered by other Web sites; no money will change hands until the new customer decides to purchase the product from the main Web site.

If your site generates a growing amount of traffic each month, it would be a very good idea to consider offering some related products to your customers as an affiliate of another site. The idea is a relatively simple one, but one that has proven to be quite effective over the last few years.

Both small and large businesses can benefit from affiliate marketing programs. Small businesses can promote their products to customers from around the world. With the number of new Web sites growing on a daily basis, there will always be new places for a company to promote their products. Large companies have the capability of promoting themselves on an even grander scale, generally in the thousands of Web sites.

Webmasters also like the idea of affiliate marketing because it can be quite a lucrative alternative source of income. The name of the game in Internet marketing is to create multiple income streams wherever possible and becoming an affiliate certainly fits the bill. One is not limited to one affiliate program on a Web site; site owners are free to choose several products they would like to promote and with the variety of products and materials that are marketed in this fashion, they will have no trouble finding an affiliate program or programs they would like to participate in.

With affiliate marketing programs paying anywhere up to a 35% commission on a single sale, there is no question that this is a most appealing opportunity for many people. In fact, the potential earnings for those involved in affiliate programs is virtually unlimited!
