In many ways the "market place" of the internet is similar to the traditional market places we all know from history. Once everything is in place, the Affiliate Program Management Software is capable of tracking the link from the affiliate to your site or other sales mechanism. Don’t Tell me how to make money. Show Me!

Don’t Tell me how to make money. Show Me!

Written By: Tony Smith

Surprising as it is, the vast majority of merchants don't take into account that only about 5% of their affiliates make the money. Another 5 – 10% make some money and the rest, on the average don't make any money at all! So why wouldn't more merchants start showing their affiliates how to make money? Someone has gotten smarter.

It can take a while to figure out what affiliate marketing is all about. You can buy into programs that sound great, that offered you resell rights, but what good are they if you don't know how to start marketing them? Merchants will tell you that you can make lots of money in just days, but if you don't know how what good is it? They tell you that it is easy money and that people will flock to their products, but no one shows you how to do it! They will tell you to market to your opt-in list. How can you sell to a list that you don't have? How do you build a list? I can be very frustrating! You know that it must be possible! After all you are buying these products and you know that with the millions of people on the internet, that other people must be buying them too. So you know that it is possibile to make money selling other people's great products, you just need to find out how.

I went through the same thing and set out on a search. Top 3 Ways To Boost Your Affiliate Commissions Overnight

Top 3 Ways To Boost Your Affiliate Commissions Overnight

Written By: Stanley Tang

The ideal world of affiliate marketing does not require having your won website, dealing with customers, refunds, product development and maintenance. This is one of the easiest ways of launching into an online business and earning more profits. Assuming you are already into an affiliate program, what would be the next thing you would want to do? Double, or even triple, your commissions, right? How do you do that? Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight.

1. Know the best program and products to promote. Obviously, you would want to promote a program that will enable you to achieve the greatest profits in the shortest possible time. There are several factors to consider in selecting such a program. Choose the ones that have a generous commission structure. Have products that fit in with your target audience. And that has a solid track record of paying their affiliate easily and on time. If you cannot seem to increase your investments, dump that program and keep looking for better ones. There are thousands of affiliate programs online which gives you the reason to be picky. You may want to select the best to avoid losing your advertising dollars. Write free reports or short ebooks to distribute from your site. There is a great possibility that you are competing with other affiliates that are promoting the same program. If you start writing short report related to the product you are promoting, you will be able to distinguish yourself from the other affiliates. In the reports, provide some valuable information for free. If possible, add some recommendations about the products. With ebooks, you get credibility. Customers will see that in you and they will be enticed to try out what you are offering.

2. Collect and save the email addresses of those who download your free ebooks. It is a known fact that people do not make a purchase on the first solicitation. You may want to send out your message more than six times to make a sale. This is the simple reason why you should collect the contact information of those who downloaded your reports and ebooks. You can make follow-ups on these contacts to remind them to make a purchase from you. Get the contact information of a prospect before sending them to the vendor's website. Keep in mind that you are providing free advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors, chances are they would be lost to you forever. But when you get their names, you can always send other marketing messages to them to be able to earn an ongoing commission instead of a one-time sale only. Publish an online newsletter or Ezine. It is always best to recommend a product to someone you know than to sell to a stranger. This is the purpose behind publishing your own newsletter. This also allows you to develop a relationship based on trust with your subscribers. This strategy is a delicate balance between providing useful information with a sales pitch. If you continue to write informative editorials you will be able to build a sense of reciprocity in your readers that may lead them to support you by buying your products.

3. Ask for higher than normal commission from merchants. If you are already successful with a particular promotion, you should try and approach the merchant and negotiate a percentage commission for your sales. If the merchant is smart, he or she will likely grant your request rather than lose a valuable asset in you. Keep in mind that you are a zero-risk investment to your merchant; so do not be shy about requesting for addition in your commissions. Just try to be reasonable about it. Write strong pay Per Click ads. PPC search engine is the most effective means of advertising online. As an affiliate, you can make a small income just by managing PPC campaigns such as Google AdWords and Overture. Then you should try and monitor them to see which ads are more effective and which ones to dispose of.

Try out these strategies and see the difference it can make to your commission checks in the shortest of time.

You Can Become A Super Affiliate Marketer

You Can Become A Super Affiliate Marketer

The more you understand about any subject, the more interesting it becomes. As you read this article you'll find that the subject of Affiliate Marketing is certainly no exception.

See how much you can learn about becoming a super affiliate Marketer when you take a little time to read a well-researched article? Don't miss out on the rest of this great information.

Over the past years, web hosting has grown bigger than it used to be. With more companies getting into this business and finding the many benefits it can give them, the demand for web hosting has never been higher. These seem to be the trend of today.

More than 38 million people have put up their very first websites online last year alone. It is estimated that the internet sales industry will top then dollar bank by 2008. Majority of those sites will be offering different affiliate programs for people to choose and participate into.

This only means one thing. It is easier now to find the right web host for your application. The possibility of quality web hosting companies separating themselves from the rest of the industry is anticipated. If this is done, the unprofessional and incompetent ones will suffer.

Support will be the number one consideration for people when choosing a web host. It will be obvious that traditional advertising will become less and less effective. Most people would rather opt for the web host based on things that they see and hear. Also based on the recommendations by those who have tried them and have proved to be a successful.

This is a great opportunity for web hosting affiliates and resellers alike. There would hundreds of web hosting and programs to choose from that the difficulty in finding the right one for them is not a problem anymore.

How does one become a successful affiliate in the niche markets using web hosting?

If you think about it, everyone who needs a website needs a web hosting company to host it for them. As of now, there is really no leading hosting industry so most people choose hosts based from recommendations. Usually, they get it from the ones that have already availed of a web hosting services.

With the many hosts offering affiliate programs, there is the tendency to find the one which you think will work best for you. Think of the product you will be promoting. Pattern them to the site and see if they are catering to the same things as you are.

When you have been with one host for quite some time and seem not to be making much despite all your effort, leave that one and look for another. There is no use in trying to stick to one when you would be before off in another one. Things will only have to get better from there because you already have been in worst situations.

Try this out. If you are quite happy and satisfied with your web host, try to see if they are offering an affiliate program you can participate on. Instead of you paying them, why not make it the other way around; them paying you. The process can be as easy as putting a small "powered by" or "hosted by" link at the bottom of your page and you are already in an affiliate business.

Why choose paying for your for your web hosting when you do not have to? Try to get paid by letting people know you like your web host.

Always remember that when choosing a web host, choose the one that is known for its fantastic customer support. There are also many hosting affiliate programs. Residual affiliate program is also being hosted. This is the program wherein you get paid a percentage every month for a client that you refer. This can allow you to have a steady source of income. With perseverance, you can even be quite successful in this field.

There are a lot of niche markets out there just waiting for the right affiliate to penetrate to them and make that dollars dream come true. Knowing which one to get into is being confident enough of your potentials and the good results you will be getting.

Web hosting is just one affiliate market you could try out and make some good and continuous income. Just remember that to be successful on your endeavor also means that time, effort and patience is needed.

Nobody has invented the perfect affiliate market yet. But some people do know how to make it big in this kind of market. It is just knowing your kind of market and making the earnings there.

Those who only know one or two facts about Affiliate Marketing can be confused by misleading information. The best way to help those who are misled is to gently correct them with the truths you're learning here.

Tips For Frustrated Affiliate Marketers

Tips For Frustrated Affiliate Marketers

Written By: Isaiah Hull

Do you go through affiliate programs like most people go through pairs of socks? Many Internet marketers do. In fact, 97% of all Internet marketers never make a single cent advertising opportunities on the Internet. They jump from one opportunity to the next and never see results. If you want to break free from this cycle of failure--if you want to earn a living off of your Internet ventures--continue reading. I will tell you exactly how you can earn money from any legitimate affiliate program.

In order to get the most information from what I am about to explain to you, you must accept that these methods are not intended to be "secrets." These are scientifically-proven, best-practice methods that all top marketers use. If you want results, you will have to do and continue to do the following five things:

1. Know your product. Do not advertise for a product or affiliate program that you are not currently using. I cannot even count the amount of affiliate programs and product offers I have rejected immediately from people who know very little about what they are actually promoting. If you want to make money selling a product or service, you have to use it, understand it, and be able to convince your prospects that they should own it. If you yourself do not believe in it--because you have not even tried it--then you will have a hard time convincing anyone else it is worthwhile.

2. Know your field. You must continually become more knowledgeable about the market in which you are selling your product or service. For instance, I try to read at least 50 pages on Internet marketing each day to complement the marketing I do. This keeps me learning about my field. The best part about this is that you can do it without spending any money at all. The Internet is loaded with free content sites where you can find free ebooks and special reports on any subject. The Internet is also loaded with affiliate program promoters who are out-selling you. Use google to find these sites and then reverse engineer them--pick apart the source code, page setup, and content layout to find out how you can become more like your competition who is outselling you.

3. Focus your efforts and limit your innovation. As much as "limiting your innovation" may go against your business instincts, it is an absolute must with a limited marketing budget. Figure out what works for you scientifically by measuring your advertising results. When you find something that works, stick with it. If you are getting traffic from reciprocal links, continue to build them. If you are getting constant sign-ups from your newsletter, improve your newsletter and order more leads. Do not stray far from your original plan. Preset the amount of innovative ideas you want to try out each night, but center your marketing efforts around getting better results from methods that have already worked for you.

4. Spend money wisely. The Internet is loaded with scams and bad information. It is really easy to be tricked into blowing money on "get rich quick" schemes and information that you can find in free resources. I personally have spent thousands of dollars needlessly. But do not get me wrong; I am not saying there are no legitimate affiliate promotion services or information products out there: I am saying that the vast majority of them do not work as well as they say they do. So hold onto your cash. When you find a product that multiple people have personally recommended to you, then consider buying it. Otherwise, conserve your cash for purchasing services or products that will produce hard, definite results, such as email leads for your newsletter or phone leads you can contact personally to promote your program.

5. Remember that your success is dependent on your choices and your work alone. If you get upset about not becoming successful with a specific affiliate program, do not blame the program--blame yourself. Do a thorough analysis of what you could be doing better and how you could be making quantitative progress
every single day. There are people who do not pay any money at all for promotional services and yet are still able to make a living just from using free tools on the Internet. If they can do it, there is no reason at all why you cannot. Joining a marketing group or forum in your field will help you realize this reality. Seeing and talking to people who are succeeding in your field will remind you that it is entirely possible to make money online without having a million dollars to begin with.

While there are some "secrets" to getting more sign-ups and site visitors, the bigger part of affiliate program marketing is following a sound business plan. If you keep the five concepts I have listed above central to your marketing campaign, you will not fail. But, if you continue to market sporadically--switching from product to product and method to method--you will never break out of that 97% who never make money.

15 Reasons to Become An Affiliate Marketer

15 Reasons to Become An Affiliate Marketer

Written By: Rosalind Gardner

There are HUGE benefits to promoting affiliate programs with your own home-based Internet business, and I've come up with a list of 15 great reasons to become an affiliate marketer.

Let's look at each reason separately:

1. No Production Costs - The cost to develop and produce a new product is prohibitive for almost anyone who wants to start a home-based business. With affiliate programs, production costs aren't an issue. The product has been developed and proven - all on the merchant's nickel.

2. Low Cost Set-up - Compared with building a brick and mortar store, starting a home-based Internet business is relatively cheap. You probably already have a desk, Internet-connected computer and word-processing software, which is all the equipment you may need.

3. No Fees for Joining or Licenses to Buy - I often compare doing business as an affiliate, with distributing a line of products in the real world. The biggest difference is that the distributor must often pay for a license to distribute products within a limited geographic region. Affiliate programs, on the other hand, are usually free to join, and geographic market reach is limited only by the affiliate's ability to promote his web site.

4. Choose From Thousands of Products and Services - What isn't sold online? That list must be shorter than the one describing all that IS sold online. There are thousands and thousands of affiliate programs selling every product under the sun. That makes it easy to find products related to your current or planned web site.

5. No Sales Experience Needed - When I started my affiliate business, I had absolutely no sales experience. That wasn't a problem, however. The companies I affiliated with provided excellent marketing material. Using their sales copy, I was able to get my first affiliate site up in less
than a day.

6. No Employees - The largest expense of most businesses is employee salaries. Although there might be times when you need or want someone to work for you as an affiliate, it's doubtful you'll ever have to worry about hiring full or part-time employees. When you have a project you want to hire out, it is easy to find specialists in every computer-related field who can work for you from the comfort of THEIR own homes. You pay only for the project, and never have to worry about ongoing employee-related benefits and deductions.

7. No Expensive Merchant Accounts Needed - Setting up a merchant account for any business is a time-consuming and costly business. It's even more tedious for Internet businesses. However, merchant accounts aren't a concern when you're an affiliate. The merchant bears that cost and handles all processing of payments. You never have to lose sleep over potential charge backs, fraud or losing your merchant account when you're an affiliate.

8. No Inventory to Carry - Even if you live in a small one-bedroom apartment, as an affiliate you can sell large items without storage concerns.

9. No Order-Processing - Forget the problems associated with collecting and storing names, addresses, credit card numbers, etc. The merchant does all that!

10. No Product Shipping - The cost and hassle to prepare and ship products to customers worldwide could be staggering. Affiliates never have to worry about packaging supplies or postal rates.

11. No Customer Service Concerns - Do you hate the prospect of dealing with nasty people or customer complaints? Don't worry about it! The merchant handles the snivelers.

12. Make Money While You Sleep - What other business allows you as a sole proprietor to keep your doors open and keep making money even when you take breaks or after you go home for the night?

13. The World at Your Doorstep - The Internet is the world's largest marketplace. You can drive more visitors to your online store in a day, than many small-town merchants sees in his or her brick and mortar business in a year.

14. Minimal Risk - The product you chose isn't making money? Dump it. Take down your links and promote another! It's that easy. There are no long-term contracts binding you to products that don't sell.

15. High Income Potential - If you have a job, your salary or hourly wage is probably pre-determined. Maybe there's not much, other than working overtime, that you can do to increase your income. With your own affiliate business on the Internet your income potential is limited only by your desire, effort and imagination.

There you have them - all the good reasons to start your own online affiliate marketing business. Start today and benefit from this incredibly simple, cost-effective business opportunity known as affiliate marketing. The time is right, and the time is now.

Online Affiliate Scams: Don't Be a Victim of One

Online Affiliate Scams: Don't Be a Victim of One

Written By: Kevin Nobleman

Selling Affiliate Products In Your Online Store. Avoid These Common Online Affiliate Scams. I lost a ton of money promoting useless non-paying affiliate programs until I found these guys. It's time to learn the truth about affiliate products and sales from someone who KNOWS the business!

If you want to sell products as an affiliate, where do you look? There are all kinds of affiliate programs to join on several major affiliate networks. There's likely to be lots of decent sales generating affiliate companies right?

Not true, according to Adam Fisher, the Affiliate Product Sourcing Editor for Net Worth Radio:

When you see all these "Incredible" affiliate companies and programs and products of affiliate networks on the internet, promising phenomenal sales and offering commissions ranging anywhere from 5% to 50% or more, what you're seeing is 99% junk.

There are thousands of scammers, snake oil salesmen and con artists on the Internet who are just lying around waiting to AMBUSH you when you begin looking for REAL affiliate programs to do business with. Believe it or not, there is a whole niche industry built up on the Net around this kind of scamming! The folks who run these scams have all the moral fiber of a box of hair, and the only reason they even recognize the word 'Scruples' is from the TV ad for the party game.

You may have even fallen prey to one of these con artists, selling you on their "exclusive" affiliate programs as if they are the greatest money-makers since the internet bubble burst. Me too. I've joined so many programs that I can't even recollect how many. I don't know why, but I tend to find the "good" in people, and I was "sold" by these marketing schemes time and time again, even after being scammed by the latest one. Finally, after so much disappointment and frustration, I had HAD ENOUGH. I decided to get to the bottom of this appeal we all have with online affiliate companies, and find out if there really were any PROFITABLE ones for selling "hot" affiliate goods at premium prices.

I literally contacted the administrator of every affiliate website I could find. Posing as an investor, I managed to persuade the owners that I was seriously interested in purchasing their entire website and business. That way, once the cartoonish bags of money flashed in their heads, they would grant me free access to their member's areas to examine what I would be "selling". Well, I was appalled with 99% of what I found. Many of the owners actually bragged about how many people joined their useless non-paying affiliate programs. I repeatedly found:

outdated links
non-working links
links leading to other sites that wanted you to sell crap
no help section
no real email support
few if any sales
I quickly realized that these so-called affiliate networks were totally pointless. And the owners knew it, yet they were laughing all the way to the ATM machine! Needless to say, I didn't respond when they asked if I was still interested in purchasing their websites. Surprisingly, while sitting through all of the scam artist's websites, I was able to locate a group of individuals that actually ran profitable and legitimate programs.

The owners were common folk like you and me that found a way to earn extra money working from home on their computers. Their membership areas were impressive, with a great deal of quality information on how to make $100-$200 per day on your computer doing very little work. I even chatted with a few of their affiliates in several online forums, and they confirmed that they were earning extra money using the information, support and products that the affiliate websites had provided them. It was like I found a few diamonds in the rough. But don't take my word for it, you can drop by the over one dozen sites I found. See what you think.

They DO NOT charge a minimal fee for access to their program, which is to be expected for any legitimate program that actually has people on staff who are dedicated to helping you get earning online. What a warm group of people! Anyway, if you do decide you are interested in any of the dozen companies, I advise you to join post-haste, as the owners have informed me that they are getting so many new affiliate members by word of mouth referrals, that they will be blocking off membership completely by month's end. (By the way, you didn't receive this news from me!) They don't have a large enough staff to welcome many more people, and they are driven to providing excellent service to each person. Well, my quest to find legitimate online affiliate programs has come to an end. I have to mention I was profoundly disappointed with most of what I found, and I strongly urge you not to take any chances doing business with any companies other than the twelve I will share with you.

Whatever you do, I hope you and your loves ones have a healthy, prosperous year.

Take care and I wish you all the best.

How Lead Programs Create Affiliate Success

How Lead Programs Create Affiliate Success

Written By: Sharyce Arciaga

There are various lead generating programs all over the internet. Some of them are free of charge while others will cost a one-time or monthly fee. These programs can be found as Co-Registration sites, FAA sites, Guaranteed Sign Up Programs, Joint Ventures and others may be offered on Affiliate Program sites.

Recently Joint Ventures have been all the rage. It is true that if you participate in a joint venture as a contributor that you may increase your subscriber list exponentially. Some promoters have increased their subscriber lists by 700+ subscribers on a single joint venture. If you come across one, which should be very easy to do -- and if resources allow, become a contributor.

Co-Registration sites will provide you with leads usually for a monthly fee. You can load these leads into your auto-responder series. Usually they are are not double opt-in leads. They can be rather effective and are costly if you are on a tight budget. Many of the heavy-hitters use Co-Registration leads successfully!

FAA sites are not as effective as they once were. You are allowed to place your advertisement on your site and it will be mailed out to your leads that are supplied by those who have posted to the FAA. The leads will either be mailed out by yourself on your personal mailer or from the FAA sites server; as this enables you to avoid spam complaints by by-passing your ISP. You usually have an option as to which way you prefer to have your leads delivered daily. Most often you can join Free or Pro.

Guaranteed Sign Up Programs offer leads to you for a fee -- usually a one-time fee for a certain amount of leads. However, I have read online that these leads do not come from the most reliable source. I have read that some of these people are paid to sign-up and that because of this they are not usually active candidates in promoting your programs. Actually, I don't know how true this is. I have never used this type of lead. However, it may be worth your while to research this type of lead further before investing your hard earned cash!

You can also generate your own leads by creating lead capture pages, newsletters, reports and articles -- most of which create opt-in mailing lists that you can promote all of your back-end products to.

If you are promoting an affiliate program(s) it is imperative that you obtain leads in order to successfully promote them. If you can find an affiliate program that offers lots of lead generating tools you'll be a step ahead! When looking for an affiliate program to promote try to find a program that offers some of the following tools.

Auto-responder, leads, weekly commission payout, start page rotator, training center, html tutorial, website templates, email accounts, search engine submit, residual income, doorway page generators, e-book library, redirect urls, etc. These are tools that will add to your bottom line and help you become a more successful online entrepreneur.

'Empowerism' is an affiliate program that offers all of the above tools and more. I have found this program to be very helpful as it provides a lead generating program and many tools that are available to you with a small membership fee while offering many perks!

Try some of the lead generating programs offered here. Many affiliates are making online incomes by utilizing one or more of these marketing methods. Try experimenting with a few of these types of lead generating programs and you will see that your affiliate paychecks will start to roll in on a more consistent basis.

Make Money With Affiliate Programs

Make Money With Affiliate Programs

Written By: Daniel Russo

Affiliate marketing is probably the quickest and the easiest way of making real business on the Internet. You don't need to get your own merchandise - you simply sell other people's goods or services. You don't even need a merchant account, and sometimes it's possible to start out without even having your own website. Though if you are serious about your affiliated business you'd better to have a website of your own.

Most of the top companies on the web have affiliate programs. Amazon, AT&T, Barnes & Noble, Chase bank, Delta airlines, Gap, KMart and Walmart are just a few examples. Did you know that you can be paid a commission to promote online products of any of these companies? But the best thing about affiliate marketing is that it is so easy to set up business relationship with your affiliate partners.

Where to pick up a profitable affiliate program?

There are dozens of affiliate networks and affiliate program directories on the Internet. The easiest way is to go to affiliate network or affiliate program directory and sign up for a partnership that suits your website topic. The major affiliate networks like ClickBank or Commission Junction have thousands of affiliate programs in all sorts of categories. You can find a listing of multiple affiliate networks at: http://affiliated-business.com/make_money/index3.html

How to monetize your promotional activity?

The mostst rapid way to make money on the Internet is to promote affiliate programs directly using Google Adwords. You simply promote your affiliate partner's goods by means of Google ads. This way you can start promotional campaign in half an hour. However, it is getting more and more expensive to advertise with Google Adwords as there are lots of people doing the same and there is too much competition making money this way.

Use more reliable strategies to make money

Focus on a particular niche area. Launching a web site with content reflecting a narrowly focused product or service niche is a well known method of gaining web traffic in your area of specialty. Let's say you decide to do a site on matchmaking. You could then join all the affiliate programs concerning matchmaking. You can find many of them through the major networks, but you might also need to search on Google for something like - 'matchmaking affiliate program'. An excellent resource that can help you determining relevant and focused areas to fill your site with is called NicheBot. They offer innovative tools to research and pinpoint market niches for your web site based on the WordTracker database and Google.

Create a website that provides a solution

In order to develop a solid selling strategy, you have to penetrate into your target market. Blogs and forums are the "perfect" place to conduct a research, before creating a marketing strategy. Once you meet your target cyber audience, start recording their problems, concerns and inclinations. After you created a "Problem List", pinpoint your target market's problems, with identical solutions. Start researching for products online, with the parameters you've developed. These products must be solution-oriented and offer an affiliate program! Then you must create either testimonial pages or review pages that discuss and pre-sell the product or service you are affiliated with. Many programs actually provide either an article or recommended text to sell their products for you and allow reproduction of those articles with your links embedded. This is the best method of getting increased orders for your chosen affiliate programs.

Search Engine Optimization can make you a lot of money

One more approach to the affiliate marketing is to build lots of little mini sites focusing on different keyword phrases that people are searching for. Thus you can get free search engine listings in Google and other search engines. This is a great strategy because it is based on the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and the traffic that you get is free. SEO is great and can make you a lot of money but it is also quite tricky. It is becoming more complex as more and more webmasters participate. But the basics applied to your site can increase profitability dramatically over time.

As I said, it becomes not so easy to climb the top of the search engines nowadays. It requires a lot of knowledge, and quite a bit of effort. Normally it is going to take months of dedication to reach search engine tops. Correct usage of title tags reflecting individual page content is one of the most critical points of SEO techniques. Many webmasters write a master title tag and apply that site-wide. This is the worst thing you could do for search engine ranking. Learn more SEO technics here: http://affiliated-business.com/promotion/Free_Promo_Technics.html

If you've succeeded implementing all the above mentioned strategies, your website is guaranteed to become one of the leaders in your specific keyword niche. As a keyword niche leader you'll be receiving great amounts of targeted traffic, which in it's turn will prowide you with steady streams of affiliate income.

One sure way to make it with affiliate programs

One sure way to make it with affiliate programs

Written By: Jim Wilson

Making and producing a steady online income is the quest of thousands of would-be entrepreneurs, but in today's economy it has become more of an obsession.

There are so many offers to join a supportive affiliate program for just about every imaginable product but what is the best way to actually see a return for your time and consideration?

To really see a profit that is well worth your time, it's important to have realistic goals, and with any business venture you must set up your business and expect to learn as you grow your business. I was no overnight success but patience and persistence have paid off.

I personally recommend Clickbank as a great starting hub for your opportunity to make a few steady dollars, and as you grow your business you will soon see this becomes a real staple to your handsfree source of steady income.

One very lucrative source of income is Google's Adsense Program, not only is this handsfree, it's also a totally free resource to invest your time and advertising is completely within anyone's budget, whatever your budget may be.

The key to really boosting your revenue online is to diversify your business platform by pooling several resources from which to market and profit. If you only sold socks, summertime would see you living a little too lean during the summer months. So what if you sold sandals and socks? This was a very basic suggestion but I just want you to understand that in order to make your business adapt to not only seasons, but your audience as well.

Staying ahead of the crowd in what you offer is also very important. If you can be attentive to just released products, this will entice your buyers as well. Clickbank and Commision Junction are good at informing you of what is selling and what has just been released or offered for the first time.

Regardless of your spendable cash outlay to try your hand at online income producing, there is a vast assortment of affiliate programs that cost zero dollars to begin and you can advertise with a budget that you control. I will say that using free advertising resources will show the weakest return for your time but if that's where your budget will afford you right now, to get started, it's still well worth getting your learning curve under way.

It's also advisible to find small niche market's where you'll find some handsome returns for your time. Looking for specialty items and making a big splash in advertising often perks your consumer's attention and they know that if they don't act on your advertising they may not find it elsewhere. This is where you can capitalize on your audience in a way that will reward you quickly.

Before I get too far ahead of the would-be entrepreneurs, it's imeprative to explain that you need to be able to accept online debit and credit cards. Paypal and Paydotcom are my personal favorites. There is no charge to set up these accounts and you will need them countless times to set up your means of getting paid. They charge only after a sale and a very small percentage of each sale, so there is never a case where you pay a fee without producing a sale. I keep stressing low cost start-up tips to ensure that your ramp up to any business venture will be a positive one. It's just as important to manage your investment cost as it is to know what to sell.

If you are totally new to online business, I will tell you this with great sincerity, people buy information like it was popcicles on a hot August Day! There in lies your best tip from this writer. When people want to know something, when do they want to get an answer? Immediately! if not sooner. I get so many emails about where is my instant download. This is usually the case where a customer is so excited to get what they ordered that they forget to read the purchase instructions. To assure them that you will take care of them puts the real business owner feeling within you and you will be more than happy to assist them.

To get an idea of what to sell and how to diversify your business for maximum results, I would suggest that you visit my homepage and find your niche and go for it!

Clickbank and Adwords - An Introduction

Clickbank and Adwords - An Introduction
By Cheryl Goh

Clickbank is essentially what is referred to as an Affiliate Service Provider. Clickbank is a marketplace of digital products like software and ebooks. All of these digital products are owned by various merchants who sign up to Clickbank as a vendor. In turn Clickbank displays all these merchant products in their marketplace as well as handle all the payment processing.

This is pretty much how the sales are handled :-

Buyer -----> pays Clickbank (online via credit card or paypal) -----> Clickbank pays you (every 2 weeks via cheque)

You can either sign up as Clickbank as an affiliate or a merchant. If you've got your own product then you would sign up as a merchant, post your product on the Clickbank marketplace and sell it on your own or simply rely on affiliates to sell it for you.

If you don't have your own product then you'd sign up as an affiliate (like me) and sell other merchant's product. For now I will talk about selling other people's products as an affiliate as its the best place to start. As an affiliate for every sale you make Clickbank will pay you a certain percentage of the sale. This percentage is decided by the merchant and if you access the Clickbank marketplace you'll be able to view the percentage paid out to affiliates.

Although there are a lot of other Affiliate Service Providers other than Clickbank, if you're just starting out with affiliate marketing then I would suggest starting with Clickbank. They've got the biggest collection of digital products in various categories ranging from Fun & Entertainment to Money & Employment. What I like about digital products is the high commission percentage paid out to affiliates ranging from 50-75%. Amazon, for example pay you a measely 10-15% as most of their products are physical products that carry production costs.

To start promoting Clickbank products you need to sign up with Clickbank (its free!).

A little about Adwords then....

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail about Adwords but just a short introduction to what its all about. Adwords is basically a pay per click advertising program. Once you sign up (Google charges you a $5 activition fee) you specify the amount you're willing to pay for that specific keyword and write your ads. Everytime that keyword is searched for on Google, your ad will be displayed and everytime someone clicks on it Google will charge you. That's pretty much it!

4 Common Mistakes New Affiliate Marketers Make

4 Common Mistakes New Affiliate Marketers Make
By Alden Smith
I am sure everyone has heard the pros and cons of affiliate marketing. On the one hand, you need no product to sale, the affiliate manager provides you with promotional tools, and sometimes even a website to promote. Likewise, when you market a product through an affiliate marketer, then the customer, along with his contact information, belongs to the affiliate manager, and you have no way to make contact and add the person to your mailing list. We have all heard of the great success of people like Rosalind Gardner and others who have made small fortunes affiliate marketing, and want to repeat that success in our own businesses. Affiliate marketing should only be one of the tools in an internet marketer's arsenal, and if handled properly, can be extremely lucrative.

It is very true that affiliate marketing can be financially rewarding. Affiliate marketers who have stuck to their promotions, optimized for the best success, and market their wares in a forward thinking manner are making great rewards for their efforts. Lifestyles have changed, and people are able to get some of the things that they want and need through affiliate marketing. Although affiliate marketing can be very lucrative, there is no easy way to do it and be successful.

What makes on affiliate marketer stand out head and shoulders from the rest, while so many struggle day to day for pennies? The answer probably lies in the fact that so many make mistakes from lack of knowledge than anything else. Affiliate marketing is not just about promoting a marketer's product through his website, and sitting back and watching the money flow in. First and foremost, the new affiliate marketer must know the market, and be aware of his potential customers.

Discovering the most common mistakes new affiliate marketers make is the first step in the process of being successful in affiliate marketing. Certainly, there are do's and don't involved in a successful business approach. The most common mistake in this business of affiliate marketing concerns the principles involved in your business. And one must also be well aware of search engine optimization in particular. Here are 4 ways to learn what is needed to be successful in affiliate marketing.

1. The best way to promote an affiliate product is through advertising. That is why it is so important to carefully study the search engines, and how they work. Learning and using knowledge of search engines is probably the most important feature of affiliate marketing. the engines find the relevant content, and that content must be yours.

2. Don't overdo it on your affiliate site with banners, flashy graphics and content that is not relevant to the product. If you must use banners, then provide plenty of relevant content along with it. Your job here is to inform. do not confuse your customer that is looking for a solution with irrelevant content and distracting graphics. Instead, give him the information he has come to look for.

3. Give the customer options. Having only one solution on a well constructed page leaves money on the table. Offer more than one solution to the problem. Just be sure that you keep the content relevant. In other words, do not put affiliate information about spyware and how you can cure the customer's problems on a page with a product for acne!

4. There is also the problem of beginning affiliates trying to promote too many products at once. Your object is to give the customer what he has come for, in possibly several tightly associated products, but not give him so much choice that he leaves the page confused or overwhelmed with your presentation. Ultimately,. the customer must make the choice of what he will buy.

Ultimately, the new affiliate marketers who fail will be the ones who do not exert enough effort into the marketing strategy. Be sure to have a step by step plan in place before ever beginning the process of affiliate marketing. There is really no other way to be successful in this competitive market.

Developing The Perfect Affiliate Program

Developing The Perfect Affiliate Program
By Jeffrey Wall

Are you looking for an effective way to market new online customers? Don’t want to pay thousands of dollars for a marketing plan that doesn’t even work? Then an affiliate program could be right for your business. In this article we cover the definition of an affiliate program, what affiliates look for in a program, and how you can offer these features to increase your sales.

So, to begin, what is an affiliate program? An affiliate program is a feature offered by tens of thousands of online stores. Companies offer money, usually a commission, to other businesses for help in promoting their companies’ product/s or service/s. It’s like paying for marketing only when you receive a sale. A successfully designed affiliate program puts hundreds or even thousands of affiliates to work for your company. If designed well enough, you will have to do very little marketing in order to sell your products.

As stated earlier, there are thousands of affiliate programs. Unfortunately, many of these programs are more or less worthless. Affiliates have become educated, and rarely join these poorly developed affiliate programs. It is increasingly important to create an affiliate program that presents affiliates with something worth their time.

According to Jim Gribble, founder of LinkProfits.com, affiliates look for many of the following qualities in an affiliate program:

+ First and foremost, payment is given for sales made
+ Payments are made at least monthly
+ There is a believable payment threshold
+ Quick customer service responses

Most affiliates research potential programs with great scrutiny. There is no room in the online community of affiliate programs for those who do not pay their dues. Businesses that run their affiliate programs with late or nonexistent payments do not last long. Also, affiliates researching your company do not easily trust programs that make their payments at increments longer than 1 month. It is best to pay weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

As affiliates research your program, they also look for a payment threshold that seems believable. A program that pays up to $1,000 per week is unlikely to be trusted by an affiliate. Too many companies have offered such high thresholds without the funds to back them up.

Another important aspect of affiliate programs is customer service. Affiliates want responses and they want them quickly. According to Gribble, many potential affiliates send an email to affiliate programs that they are interested in joining. He says that they base their interest in the program upon the timeliness and usefulness of the response given. Although great care must be taken with affiliates, the work they can provide for you is well worth the effort.

Now, let’s discuss the more important issue; developing your affiliate program.

How do you effectively begin an affiliate program? Well, to begin, you should use the resources that you already have, your current customer list. If your business does business to business transactions, you have a wealth of resources. However, even business to consumer companies have potential to gain affiliates by speaking with their current customers. As long as they are not spamming, customers can tell their friends about your great product/s or service/s. And with money involved they may be much more interested in giving referrals.

Once you have petitioned your current resources, you need to branch outward. There are many resources, paid and free to help you in this effort. As stated on the previous page, there are many online affiliate directories where affiliates can search for your program. A quick search on Google for "affiliate program directories" will bring up a handful of great companies that you can register with.

Besides these often free directories, there are also paid affiliate consultants. These professionals help those managing affiliate programs to find affiliates. For those with the money to invest in one of these professionals, will more than likely find great success with little or no effort.

As with becoming an affiliate, one of the most important aspects of managing an affiliate program is getting the word out. Let other businesses know the benefits of your program. Be open and honest with those researching your program. Place links in newsletters, on banners ad programs, in offline advertisements and in any other marketing you do for you business. If you are truly offering good benefits that you can actually provide, with the appropriate marketing, you are guaranteed potential affiliates.

Follow 5 Simple Steps to Make Money with Adsense Marketing

Follow 5 Simple Steps to Make Money with Adsense Marketing
By Marc Howlett
How to make money with adsense marketing.

If you frequent Internet marketing forums you will no doubt have heard all about people making money with adsense marketing and you may be wondering just how easy can it be? We are going to look at some of the best methods you can employ to earn money with adsense.

First though for those of you who have not heard about adsense then I suggest you take a look at the Google website and search for adsense, they have a really good description there and this will cover the basics to get you started.

So you have signed up for adsense and have added the code to your websites but have you started making money with adsense marketing. There are a few simple steps that you should follow to get your site up to scratch before you can start getting some profitable clicks and really make money with adsense.

Step 1.
Make your domain name on topic, if you are targeting a niche for example: - dog grooming then try to get these keywords into your domain name. This will be a good start to getting targeted adverts displaying on your site and obviously the better targeted the ads the more likely your visitors are to click the ads.

Step2.
Use keyword targeted filenames for your pages, so again say we have an article about grooming puppies then make your page filename include these keywords, also when you link to your internal pages try to use the keywords again in the anchor text.

Step3.
Use section targeting to tell the adsense bots the most important text on your page to target the adverts on. You can do this by using the following html code around your important text on your page

========
Your keyword-targeted text goes here
=========

This is a great way to get targeted ads on your page but you have to make sure that you have good-targeted keyword text within these wrappers.

Step4.
This little tip has definitely helped me make money with google adsense and I have not seen that many people us it. You can also tell the bots section of your page that they should ignore, this can be very helpful as sometimes the bots pick up on the wrong keywords and display untargeted adverts. You will find that untargeted adverts will lower your click through rate as your readers will not be interested in the adverts and therefore will not click. So to implement this we use the following code.

=====
the text you want ignored here
=========

Step5.
This is the most important step to follow, as it will help you make money with adsense marketing. Make sure that your content is relevant and useful to the readers. Original content that is well written, with correct spelling and use of correct grammar will also help you get the most targeted high paying adverts displayed on your pages.

So now you have some simple steps to follow to help you make money with google adsense.

If you want to make money with adsense marketing then take a look at this amazing free tool I use to make a full time living online.

Why do some Affiliates Fail in their Affiliate Business?

Why do some Affiliates Fail in their Affiliate Business?
By Lakshmi Menon
Like any other business, in Affiliate Business also people can become successful or failures, as per their choice. The main reasons for their failure are –

1. They expect to become successful just by signing up as affiliates, without doing their part of work.

2. They may just talk to few of their friends, who have absolutely no knowledge in this field, and may be sending emails to few of their friends and expect to buy their products immediately. When it does not happen that way they just keep quiet and do nothing further, but saying internet business does not work.

3. They do not bother to go through the instructions provided to them free of charge by their respective affiliate companies.

4. They do not want to spend time on the net to study about the promotion of their business and the tools and resources needed to achieve their goal. They excuse themselves by saying that don’t have enough time for this.

5. They do not bother to contact their sponsor through whom they signed up, to get his/her valuable help in guiding them properly to run their affiliate business. Sometimes it so happens that even if the sponsor contacts they won’t bother to reply them.

6. Though a website is not a must to run an affiliate business, it certainly helps them to achieve their goal. A content rich website with lot of traffic will be of immense help.

7. They are not signing up as affiliates with strong determination and commitment to succeed. If they had a strong desire to succeed they wouldn’t have easily accepted their failure.

8. They would not bother to visit the relevant forums which are usually filled with tons of information, to enrich their knowledge in affiliate marketing.

9. They would not have chosen the proper affiliate programs which are known for their credibility of their products, customer support and prompt payments to the affiliates.

Landing On The Right Affiliate Program

Landing On The Right Affiliate Program
By Mary Ann Carolyn Dalangin-Tordecilla

In my entry about how a site could make money, I have discussed a little about affiliate programs. And with the feedback I received from WomenXtra, requesting for some recommended sites on affiliate programs and banners, I thought I should discuss the two further on separate articles.

The first discussion would be on affiliate programs. I have mentioned before that this kind of programs work by “recommendation”:

1. You send a visitor/buyer from your site to an affiliated site.
2. Then your affiliated site will pay you.
3. And you earn money through commission basis.

All affiliate programs work the same, only that there are some that really pays well. However, you should also take extra precaution because there are also a lot of frauds on these programs.

Even though you do minimal effort on this kind of program, you could lose everything--- money, time, and traffic----- if you have been victimized by a fraud program. To avoid such loss, you should be properly informed about affiliate programs.

Here are the extra information you should know:

1. There are many affiliate programs out there---- some are free and some ask you to pay for membership--- but, just to stay out of risk, choose your affiliate from the roster of free-from-fees affiliates.

2. Join more than one affiliate program. This will enable you to compare one program from the other, and will very much track those who are frauds.

3. Analyze the affiliate’s system of payment:
- What is the mode of payment?
- When will the payment be issued?
- What is their minimum (traffic/visitor) requirement before they issue the payment?

4. Know the tracking system of the program and how long will your referrals stay on the program.

5. Be able to look for a program that offers a detailed statistics, which should be available for your viewing.

6. Know the people behind the “billing system”. If it is run by some billing company the better. Often times, if the billing system is handled by a third party, there is no fraud in the system compared to only two people who handle the system.

7. Find out more about the retailer and the products/services they are offering. It is better if you could also look for ways on how credible they really are by looking through their content, awards gained, other sites that link to them, testimonies and news about them, etc.

8. Know the percentage of your commission. Be able to compute all figures first before you sign up for them.

9. Rate your affiliate site from its contents to its navigation. Be able to see if the site is worthy for a visit and if it easy to use.

10. Know the hits per ratio of the program and if they also pay you the hits besides the commission.
